Happy Land Trek welcomes you to this beautiful journey to the Khumbu region. So explore the base camp trek to the highest peak of the world Mt. Everest, perhaps one of the most sought trekking destination in the whole world. The exploration of Khumbu region through this trek enables the trekkers to take a glimpse at the world’s most beautiful mountains, the friendly Sherpas, ancient monasteries as well as diverse wildlife in the Sagarmatha National Park. Combining all these with the side trek to Gokyo Lake, we have one of the best treks in the Eastern Himalayas.
EBC trek has always been a cornerstone for the trek in the Eastern Himalayas. As such, this trek brings the trekkers to Cho La pass (5,368m) and famous destination like KalaPathar (5,535m)- the best place to view the mighty Everest. We move to Gokyo (4,800m) and then to Lobuche from where we will reach the esteemed Everest Base Camp situated at the backdrop of some of the world’s highest mountains including Mt. Cho Oyu (8,156m), Mt. Lhotse (8,591m), Mt. Makalu (8,470m) along with several other peaks. The view from the Cho La is extraordinary with the 360-degree panoramic view of the mountains.
Our course of the journey is rather simple. We start with a short flight to Lukla from Kathmandu, from where we will trek to Namche Bazar - the gateway to the Everest region. From there we will move to Gokyo Lake and acclimatize to the altitude. Moving up to Cho La we will then descend down to Lobuche (4,940m) and reach Everest Base Camp (5,346m). Kala Pathar will be our next stop from where we will descend down to Namche Bazar and back to Lukla.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu transfer to hotel and over night in Kathmandu Preparation for trekking.
Day 02: Kathmandu to Lukla (2840m) by flight 40 minute, breakfast in Lukla after breakfast trek to Phakding (2610m)
Day 03: Trek Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
Day 04: Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar: rest, chilling, exploring and enjoying the view.
Day 05: Trek Namche Bazaar to Dole (4200m)
Day 06: Trek Dole to Machharmo (4400m)
Day 07: Trek Machharmo to Gokyao (4790m)
Day 08: Acclimatization day at Gokyao valley: Hiking, chilling with mountain, exploring and enjoying the view.
Day 09: Morning hike to Gokyao Ri and trek to Dragnag (4700m)
Day 10: Trek Dragnag to Dzonghla (4830m) via Cho-La pass
Day 11: Trek Dzonghla to Lobuche (4910m)
Day 12: Trek Lobuche to Gorakshep (5180m) to Everest Base Camp (5364m) and over night in Gorakshep.
Day 13: Early morning hike up to Kalapathar. (5550m) to see sunrise view and mountain range include Mt Everest. and back to Gorakshep breakfast and trek to Pheriche (4240m)
Day 14: Trek Pheriche to Tengboche. (3868m)
Day 15: Trek Tengboche to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
Day 16: Trek Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2840m)
Day 17: Morning flight back to Kathmandu (1336m) from Lukla.
Day 18: Departure to international airport or if you have few days extra in Kathmandu you can chill, do shopping, sightseeing, etc.

We trek per day between 4 to 8 hours its depending on the walk, we can always tailor the date to you and your needs. Whilst trekking with Happyland Treks we must try to drink 3 to 4 liters water per day. Water is known to help when combating mountain altitude sickness.
During the trek almost every village you will have access to boiled purified drinking water.
When trekking you will go through terrain that can be flat, downhill uphill and at points with lots of stairs.

Mountain Altitude Sickness can affect anyone above 3000 meters. Altitude Sickness affects people regardless of sex. age and fitness. If you are showing signs of mountain altitude sickness your safety is our first priority and we will facilitate you getting down as fast as possible. We suggest prior to trekking to ensure you are in good health and have consulted with your GP. It is recommended prior to departing walking training is done so you have the most enjoyable time whilst trekking. Please don’t hesitate ask more.
