Trek to the base camp of the highest point of the world got more special as we take a detour through the small village of Jiri(2,370m) in eastern Nepal. The immense wilderness and the scenic route this trek has gives the sense of freedom and ecstasy that other treks can barely match.
Trekking to Everest is still the benchmark for trekkers. Through this journey, we explore the Everest Base Camp(5,316m) while also crossing the beautiful Cho La(5,368m) and also visit one of the most beautiful destinations on the planet KalaPathar(5,545m). The trip shows for one of the best panoramic views of the mountains anywhere in the world. As we watch the mountains reaching for the sky and the seamless horizon serving a great backdrop for the magnificent scenery, we can’t help but stop for a moment and thank nature for such a bliss.
Four of the 10 highest peak of the world – Mt. Lhotse(8,591m), Mt. Everest(8,848m), Mt. Cho Oyu(8,156m) and Mt. Makalu(8,470m) welcomes the trekkers. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu transfer to hotel and over night in Kathmandu Preparation for trekking.
Day 02: Drive Kathmandu to Salleri (2390m) by bus.
Day 03: Trek Salleri to Nunthala (2225m)
Day 04: Trek Nunthala to Bupsa (2360m)
Day 05: Trek Bupsa to Chaurikharka (2650m)
Day 06: Trek Chaurikharka to Monjo (2840m)
Day 07: Trek Monjo to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
Day 08: Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar: rest, chilling, exploring and enjoying the view.
Day 09: Trek Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3868m)
Day 10: Trek Tengboche to Dingboche (4410m)
Day 11: Acclimatization day in Dingboche.
Day 12: Trek Dingboche to Lobuche (4910m)
Day 13: Trek Lobuche to Gorakshep (5180m) to Everest Base Camp (5364m) and over night in Gorakshep.
Day 14: , Early morning hike to Kalapathar. (5550m) to see sunrise view and mountain range include Mt Everest. and back to Gorakshep breakfast and trek to Pheriche (4240m)
Day 15: Trek Pheriche to Tengboche (3868m)
Day 16: Trek Tengboche to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
Day 17: Trek Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2840m)
Day 18: Morning flight back to Kathmandu (1336m) from Lukla.
Day 19: Departure to international airport or if you have few days extra in Kathmandu you can chill, shopping, sightseeing, etc.

We trek per day between 4 to 8 hours its depending on the walk, we can always tailor the date to you and your needs. Whilst trekking with Happyland Treks we must try to drink 3 to 4 liters water per day. Water is known to help when combating mountain altitude sickness.
During the trek almost every village you will have access to boiled purified drinking water. When trekking you will go through terrain that can be flat, downhill uphill and at points with lots of stairs.
We are always there to help and support you and your journey. Learning about local culture and their Sherpa people. Visiting Gomba, monastery, prayer flag and prayer wells. Reaching to Everest Base Camp 5364m. and Kalapathar 5550m. During the trip we will sleep at a maximum altitude of 5180m. (Gorakshep)

Mountain Altitude Sickness can affect anyone above 3000 meters. Altitude Sickness affects people regardless of sex. age and fitness. If you are showing signs of mountain altitude sickness your safety is our first priority and we will facilitate you getting down as fast as possible. We suggest prior to trekking to ensure you are in good health and have consulted with your GP. It is recommended prior to departing walking training is done so you have the most enjoyable time whilst trekking. Please don’t hesitate ask more.
ACUTE MOUNTAIN SICKNESS!
Many people suffer from mild symptoms of AMS (ACCUTE MOUNTAIN SICKNESS)
A light headache, loss of appetite and disturbed sleep may occur when suffering from AMS. If you experience any of these symptoms do not continue ascend. Instead, stay where you are or go down to acclimatize.
Hace – High Altitude Cerebral Edema (swelling of the brain)
Hape – High Altitude Pulmonary Edema (fluids in the lungs)
Persistent severe headache, difficulty breathing, confused thinking, loss of appetite, rapid breathing or breathlessness at rest, vomiting, coughing up pink, brown or white sputum, sound of liquid in the lungs, blueness of face and lips, severe lethargy (not wanting to do anything), persistent bubbling cough, or persistent increased heart rate (110 per minute)
Drink plenty of water (not alcoholic beverage) and eat fruit - especially when crossing high passes.
