Located in the Annapurna and Mustang region this trek has a great blend of nature and culture. From the beautiful snow-capped mountains to the ancient monasteries, Jomsom Muktinath is a package of epic magnitude.
We hike through the Kali Gandaki Valley- the deepest Valley in the world and reach Jomsom. Entering the Mustang region, we pass through many small villages through the rocky terrain, dense forest, and barren land. The beautiful mountains are always lurking in the background and Mt. Dhaulagiri(8,167m) and the Annapurna Range is visible and serve as a great backdrop to the natural ecstasy. Following the bank of the Kali Gandaki River, we also visit the Holy Land of Muktinath(3,710m) famous among the Hindu and Buddhist Pilgrimage.
The trail is not never consistent. From rocky trail to the beautiful Rhododendron, Oak and Bamboo forest, the diversity of the land is one to remember. This trek is rated easy to moderate difficulty. Although prior experience is an asset, even a novice can take on this trek, although, we suggest to tread with caution. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu transfer to hotel and over night in Kathmandu preparation for trekking
Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist bus and over night in Pokhara (820m)
Day 03: Pokhara to Nayapul by private transport and trek to Ulleri (2010m)
Day 04: Trek Ulleri to Ghorepani (2874m)
Day 05: Trek Ghorepani to PoonHill (3210m) to Tatopani (1200m) Hot Spring
Early in the morning hike uphill to the Poon hill to see the sunrise view and Annapurna Himalayan range include the world's 7th height mountain Dhaulagiri (8167.m) after enjoying the view downhill to the Ghorepani and breakfast after breakfast trek to Tatopani.
Day 06: Trek Tatopani to Ghasa (2110m)
Day 07: Trek Ghasa to Marpha (2881m)
Day 08: Trek Marpha to Kagbeni (2810m)
Day 09: Trek Kagbeni to Muktinath (3800m)
Day 10: Trek Muktinath to Jomsom (2712m)
Day 11: Jomsom to Pokhara by flight, chill, rest and over night in Pokhara
Day 12: Pokhara to Kathmandu (1336m) by tourist
Day 13: Departure to international airport or if you have few extra days in Kathmandu you can chill, shopping, sightseeing etc.

We trek per day between 4 to 8 hours its depending on the walk, we can always tailor the date to you and your needs. Whilst trekking with Happyland Treks we must try to drink 3 to 4 liters water per day. Water is known to help when combating mountain altitude sickness.
During the trek almost every village you will have access to boiled purified drinking water. When trekking you will go through terrain that can be flat, downhill uphill and at points with lots of stairs. We are always there to help and support you and your journey.

Mountain Altitude Sickness can affect anyone above 3000 meters. Altitude Sickness affects people regardless of sex. age and fitness. If you are showing signs of mountain altitude sickness your safety is our first priority and we will facilitate you getting down as fast as possible. We suggest prior to trekking to ensure you are in good health and have consulted with your GP. It is recommended prior to departing walking training is done so you have the most enjoyable time whilst trekking. Please don’t hesitate ask more.
ACUTE MOUNTAIN SICKNESS!
Many people suffer from mild symptoms of AMS (ACCUTE MOUNTAIN SICKNESS)
A light headache, loss of appetite and disturbed sleep may occur when suffering from AMS. If you experience any of these symptoms do not continue ascend. Instead, stay where you are or go down to acclimatize.
Hace – High Altitude Cerebral Edema (swelling of the brain)
Hape – High Altitude Pulmonary Edema (fluids in the lungs)
Persistent severe headache, difficulty breathing, confused thinking, loss of appetite, rapid breathing or breathlessness at rest, vomiting, coughing up pink, brown or white sputum, sound of liquid in the lungs, blueness of face and lips, severe lethargy (not wanting to do anything), persistent bubbling cough, or persistent increased heart rate (110 per minute)
Prevention:- Drink plenty of water (not alcoholic beverage) and eat fruit - especially when crossing high pass.
