Khopra Danda Trek is a good substitution for Ghorepani-poon hill trek. The view of the eastern Himalayas is still breathtaking and with its relative difficulty, the route is perfect for novice trekkers. This is a relatively new trekking route so trekkers can expect little company. The signposts makes the journey easier by determining the correct route to take on. The route takes you to the north of Ghorepani. On the route, we climb “Khopra Ridge” one of the major highlights of this tour.
Despite following the same trail to Ghorepani, the route diverges down to the valley and eventually climbing up the Khopra Ridge, we reach the Khopra Hill (3,640m). The beautiful snow-capped mountains can be seen from a distance. Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Nilgiri mountains, Annapurna Mountains, Mt. Hiuchuli (6,441m) all standing with their full might. The beautiful Rhododendron forest and the thick forests can all be explored in this beautiful trek.
The trek is short and may last for up to 10 days but the trek to the Annapurna region can be well enjoyed in this short yet beautiful trek. The sunrise from the top of the Khopre Hill provides with one of the unique views of the mountains ever. Add that with all the scenery and we have one of the naturally rich treks around.
The trekkers can enjoy the trek while our guide here at Happy Land Trek will take care of your food, accommodation and luggage.
