This was my second trip to Nepal – the last time I came, we were badly organized, and got in way over our heads with the trek. This time, we contacted Happy, who did all the boring bits for us. This meant my partner and I were free to put all our attention and effort into our adventure. Even without the beautiful lake at the end of the trip, the views on the way are really fantastic. I took at least three?hundred photos, and all of them are absolute gold. The guide was really knowledgeable, the people were friendly, the accommodation was cozy and the food was great.
While there were other treks available, we couldn’t resist the chance to see the fabled Lake Gosainkunda. The journey there was beautiful and definitely appropriate for those in the group who were less experienced, but it was still an excellent trek for more experienced trekkers. There are more mountain ranges on this trip to admire than I can recall, but it was the lake that made this so memorable. It needs to be seen to be believed. Rather than being spoiled by tourism, the presence of both pilgrims and trekkers to the holy site actually add to its splendor, as everyone in attendance is stood in reverence and awe. Thank you Happyland, both for the amazing trip through the mountains and the great time in Kathmandu afterwards!
