Nagarjun Hill 1 Day hike is a perfect way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and explore the wilderness that is so evident in the surrounding hills of the valley. Regarded to be one of the finest hiking destinations near the valley, this dazzling location is highly influenced by Buddhism. The views of the perfect high peaks like Manaslu, Langtang range, and Ganesh makes the hiking experience even more memorable.
The hiking trip starts from a drive to Balaju, followed by a 2-hour hike to reach the top. The eco-friendly journey through the dense forest is surely an alluring and refreshing experience. Eventually, on the top of the hill, there is a summer palace of the former king. You also get a chance to explore the vivid beauty of mountain ranges and the different kinds of flora and fauna present in the region. After exploring the vicinity of the top of the hill, we return back to Kathmandu and call it a day.
Day Trip: Drive to Balaju from your hotel and hike up to Nagarjun Hill. (2128m) after Nagarjun Hill Hike downhill to Balaju and drive back to hotel.

We trek per day between 4 to 8 hours its depending on the walk, we can always tailor the date to you and your needs. Whilst hiking with Happyland Treks we must try to drink 3 to 4 liters water per day. Water is known to help when combating mountain altitude sickness.
During the hike almost every village you will have mineral water bottle. When hike you will go through terrain that can be flat, downhill uphill and at points with lots of stairs. We are always there to help and support you and your journey.

Mountain Altitude Sickness can affect anyone above 3000 meters. Altitude Sickness affects people regardless of sex. age and fitness. If you are showing signs of mountain altitude sickness your safety is our first priority and we will facilitate you getting down as fast as possible. We suggest prior to trekking to ensure you are in good health and have consulted with your GP. It is recommended prior to departing walking training is done so you have the most enjoyable time whilst trekking. Please don’t hesitate ask more.
ACUTE MOUNTAIN SICKNESS!
Many people suffer from mild symptoms of AMS (ACCUTE MOUNTAIN SICKNESS)
A light headache, loss of appetite and disturbed sleep may occur when suffering from AMS. If you experience any of these symptoms do not continue ascend. Instead, stay where you are or go down to acclimatize.
Hace – High Altitude Cerebral Edema (swelling of the brain)
Hape – High Altitude Pulmonary Edema (fluids in the lungs)
Persistent severe headache, difficulty breathing, confused thinking, loss of appetite, rapid breathing or breathlessness at rest, vomiting, coughing up pink, brown or white sputum, sound of liquid in the lungs, blueness of face and lips, severe lethargy (not wanting to do anything), persistent bubbling cough, or persistent increased heart rate (110 per minute)
Prevention:- Drink plenty of water (not alcoholic beverage) and eat fruit - especially when crossing high pass.
