Annapurna Circuit Trek has always been one of the favorite treks in the Eastern Himalayas. Even among the different the different routes the side trip to Tilicho Lake(5,200m) provides with the beautiful mountain glaciers and the spectacular view of the Himalayas.
We start our trek from Besisahar as we move north to the village of Manang and pass the village of Khangsar. Moving up the trails, we reach Tilicho base camp situated at the height of 4,900m. Trekkers can witness the miraculous Hiunchuli to the east and Annapurna Ranges and Mt. Macchapuchhre(6,993m) at a distance. From TIlicho basecamp, Tilicho Lake is few stretches up. The beautiful Tilicho Lake is blessed with pristine water- clear and cold and with the beautiful snow-capped mountains from all sides, the view is breathtaking. We can also cross Thorong La (5,416m) and return via Muktinath and Kagbeni, making this extended trip, the one you will never forget.
With the view of Annapurna Massif, this route also enables trekkers to witness one of the most uncharted water in the world. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel and over night in Kathmandu preparation for trekking
Day 02:Kathmandu to Bulbule by bus and over night in Bulbule (840m)
Day 03: Trek Bulbule to Jagat (1300m)
Day 04: Trek Jagat to Dharapani (1860m)
Day 05: Trek Dharapani to Chame (2670m)
Day 06: Trek Chame to Pisang (3300m)
Day 07: Trek Pisang to Manang (3540m) via upper pisang.
Day 08: Acclimatization day at Manang explore around.
Day 09: Trek Manang to Khangsar (3700m)
Day 10: Trek Khangsar to Tilicho Base Camp (4200m)
Day 11: Trek Tilicho Base Camp to Tilicho Lake (4919m) same way back to downhill and over night in Base Camp. (4200m)
Day 12: Trek Tilicho Base Camp to Yak-Kharka (4000m)

Day 14: Trek High Camp to Muktinath via Thorang La Pass (5416m)
Day 15: Trek Muktinath to Jomsom (2720m)
Day 16: Trek Jomsom to Kalopani (2530m)
Day 17: Trek Kalopani to Tatopani (1200m)
Day 18: Tatopani to Beni (830m) by bus
Day 19: Beni to Pokhara (825m) by bus
Day 20: Pokhara to Kathmandu (1336m) by tourist bus
Day 21: Departure to international airport or if you have few days extra in Kathmandu you can chill, Shopping, Sightseeing, etc
We trek per day between 4 to 8 hours it’s depending on the walk, we can always tailor the date to you and your needs. While trekking with Happyland Treks we recommends you to drink 3 to 5 liters water per day. Water is known to help when combating mountain altitude sickness.
During the trek almost every village you will have access to boiled purified drinking water, bottle of water and hot water for the drink which is cost started from 60 – 500 rupee per liters depends where you are. Cold shower is free but we are not recommends cold shower during the trek because it too cold up there, so it’s better to have hot shower which is possible by Gas Geysers or Hot Bucked and prices started from 100 – 500 rupee per head.
For the camera/mobile battery we always recommends you bring some extra batteries if possible, you can have Mobile/Camera Battery charge almost every tea house the places where you staying in the night. When trekking you will go through terrain that can be flat, downhill uphill and at points with lots of stairs. We are always there to help and support you and your journey.

Tea house trek basically means small hotel with cozy room established along the trekking route that provide room and food. Most of this established family owned and home cooked meals are serve as well as different type of food European and western food its bit of different but it’s good.
Mountain Sickness and prevention
Mountain Altitude Sickness can affect anyone above 3000 meters. Altitude Sickness affects people regardless of sex. Age and fitness. If you are showing signs of mountain altitude sickness your safety is our first priority and we will facilitate you getting down as fast as possible. We suggest prior to trekking to ensure you are in good health and have consulted with your GP. It is recommended prior to departing walking training is done so you have the most enjoyable time whilst trekking. Please don’t hesitate ask more.
ACUTE MOUNTAIN SICKNESS!
Many people suffer from mild symptoms of AMS (ACCUTE MOUNTAIN SICKNESS)
A light headache, loss of appetite and disturbed sleep may occur when suffering from AMS. If you experience any of these symptoms do not continue ascend. Instead, stay where you are or go down to acclimatize.
Hace – High Altitude Cerebral Edema (swelling of the brain)
Hape – High Altitude Pulmonary Edema (fluids in the lungs)
Persistent severe headache, difficulty breathing, confused thinking, loss of appetite, rapid breathing or breathlessness at rest, vomiting, coughing up pink, brown or white sputum, sound of liquid in the lungs, blueness of face and lips, severe lethargy (not wanting to do anything), persistent bubbling cough, or persistent increased heart rate (110 per minute)
Prevention:- Drink plenty of water (not alcoholic beverage) and eat fruit - especially when crossing high pass.
