The trek to the uncharted land of Mustang is a dream for many. This restricted land was opened to foreigners in 1992 and is heavily segregated from the outside world. As a result, it has retained many of its customs and lifestyles. The Buddhist culture is prevalent in these land. Since this is a restricted area, trekkers will need a special permit. The Happy Land trek will manage that for you so you can focus on the trek itself.
The amalgamation of Nepalese and Tibetan culture is dominant in the region and the forbidden walled city of Lo Manthang is one of a unique thing you will witness. Known as the Forbidden Kingdom, this uncharted land houses some of the best natural scenery in the world.
From the view of the beautiful eastern Himalayas to the rocky trails to the dry land, everything looks marvelous. Annapurna Range, Mt. Dhaulagiri(8,167m) and Nilgiri mountains peeks from a distance and the beautiful monasteries, caves and alpines valleys will get you busy throughout the trek to Upper Mustang.
Our journey begins from the Land of Jomsom from where we will trek to Syangboche(3,475m). Mustang is the next destination and its capital Lo Manthang which is situated at the height of 3,800m is the highest altitude of this trek. The desert-like backdrop is unlike anything you have ever witness and the howling winds and dry landscape will welcome you with their full might.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel and over night in Kathmandu Preparation for trekking.
Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist bus, Over night in Pokhara (825m)
Day 03: fright to jomsom from Pokhara and trek to Kagbeni. (2858m)
Day 04: Trek Kagbeni to Chele. (3050m)
Day 05: Trek Chele to Syanbochen. (3475m)
Day 06: Trek Syanbochen to Ghaymi. (3520m)
Day 07: Trek Ghaymi to Charang. (3500m)
Day 08: Trek Charang to Lo Mangthang. (3700m)
Day 09: Rest day explore around, chill and enjoying the view.
Day 10: Trek Lo Mangthang to Dhakmar. (3810m)
Day 11: Trek Dhakmar to Ghiling. (3806m)
Day 12: Trek Ghiling to Chhuksang. (3050m)
Day 13: Trek Chhuksang to Jomsom. (2700m)
Day 14: Jomsom to Pokhara by flight. (825m)
Day 15: Pokhara to Kathmandu. (1336m) by tourist bus.
