Another provision of a visa system that you need to know about is the Gratis (Free) Visa for 30 days is available only for nationals of SAARC countries. However, for the extension of visas for SAARC nationals, the rule is the same as that of other nationals. Note that Indian nationals do not need a visa to enter Nepal. For visa extension, tourists can stay for up to 150 days in a visa year, from January 1 to December 31, and can extend their visa for an additional fee of 3-5 US dollars per day, with a minimum payment of 30 US dollars for a period of 15 days or less.
