What to Expect in Everest Base Camp Group Travel

Purified water, Shower and Mobile Battery

During the trek almost every village. You will have access to boiled purified drinking water. When trekking you will go through terrain. In addition, That can be flat, downhill uphill. And at points with lots of stairs. 

However, For the shower, cold showers are free but we do not recommend. Not recommending cold showers. During the trek because it is cold up there so it’s better to have a hot shower. Therefore, Which is possible by Gas Geysers. Or Hot Bucked and prices start from 200 – 500 rupee per head.

However, For the camera/mobile battery. Therefore, We always recommend you bring some extra batteries if possible. You can have a Mobile/Camera Battery charge. For almost every tea house in the places. Therefore, Where you stay at night and it costs around 200 – 500 per battery charge. 

Itinerary of Everest Base Camp Group

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu

Altitude: 1,400m/4,5938ft.

After your landing in Kathmandu, our staff will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Meet your CEO and guide. Prepare, shopping and learn more about the trip.

Day 2 Kathmandu to Lukla

Altitude: 2,800m/9184ft (Lukla) & 2,652m/8,698ft (Phakding)
Walking Distance: 8km (3 hours)

Flight to Lukla is 35-40 minutes, a short break for tea, and coffee in Lukla, meeting the trekking porter, and slowly starting to walk Phakding. The first day is an easy and short day.

Day 3Phakding to Namche Bazaar

Altitude: 3,440m/11,283ft.
Walking Distance: 10-12km (5-6 hours)

Trek to Namche Bazaar walking along the Dudh Koshi river and we will get to the Hillary suspension bridge as well. End of the day approx. 2:30 hrs. we need to climb to reach Namche.

Day 4Acclimatization Day Hike to Everest view Hotel

Acclimatization day hiking to Everest view hotel 3880m, 12,729ft. enjoying the high mountain view with hill and valley and for lunch we will be back to Namche, wander around rest, chill.

Day 5Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

Altitude: 3,800/12,467ft.
Walking Distance: 9.2 km (5-6 hours)

Easy at the starting day and downhill, lunch and end of the day approx. 2:30 hrs. climb to Tengboche. Visiting Tengboche monastery around 5:00 pm.

Day 6Tengboche to Dingboche

Altitude: 4,200/13,779ft.
Walking Distance: 9 km (6 hours)

Little downhill at the starting crossing bridge, rivers local village with a beautiful view. and nearly the end of the day a few minutes walking through the landslide area.

Day 7Acclimatization day

2nd Acclimatization Day, hike a few hundred meters uphill such as Nagarjun hill. And we will be back in Dingboche for lunch and rest.

Day 8Dingboche to Lobuche

Altitude: 4,900m/16,076ft.
Walking Distance: 11-12 km (6-7 hours)

The beginning of the day was nice and easy till Thukla, after lunch 1:30 hrs. climbing to reach the high hill of the memorial of lost climbers. After tribute the easy trail to reach Lobuche.

Day 9Lobuche to Gorakshep

Altitude: 5180m/16,994ft (Gorakshep) & 5364m/17598 (EBC)
Walking Distance: 15km (7-8 hours)

The day with a beautiful view and about 2-3 hrs. We reached Gorakshep for their lunch break. We continue the ascent and descent with the rocky path to the Everest base camp. A great experience and enjoying the view we will go back to Gorak Shep for the night.

Day 10Hike up to Kalapathar

Altitude: 5,545m/18,192ft (Kala Pathar) & 4,320m/14,173ft (Pheriche)
Walking Distance: 12-13km (7 hours)

Early morning hike to Kala Patthar approx. 2:30 hrs. best sunrise view of Mt. Everest and surrounding vistas. Descend back to Gorak Shep for breakfast and trek continue to Pheriche.

Day 11Pheriche to Tengboche

Altitude: 3,800/12,467ft.
Walking Distance: 9 km (5 hours)

We walked down the valley enjoying the valley view with the river, mountains, gompa, and more, and at the end of the day, it was about a 30 minutes climb to reach Tengboche.

Day 12Tengboche to Jorsalle

Altitude: 2,740m/8,989ft.
Walking Distance: 13 km (6-7 hours)

Enjoying the view and walking back downhill, the uphill crossing bridge with forest and hill. Walking down from Namche Bazaar to Hillary bridge. Jorsalle for the evening.

Day 13Jorsalle to Lukla

Altitude: 2,840m/9,317ft.
Walking Distance: 12km (6 hours)

On the final day of our mountain trip, crossing a small village and bridge, with a green hill forest, the trek takes us back to Lukla.

Day 14 flight back to Kathmandu

Altitude: 1400m/4593ft.
Flight time: 40 min.

The short flight back to Kathmandu, the rest of the day is free for shopping and chilling.

Day 15Departure to international airport

Altitude: 1,400m/4,593ft.

Do I need training for Everest Base Camp Group?

What is the best season for the Everest Base Camp Group?

ACUTE MOUNTAIN SICKNESS!

However, Many people suffer from mild symptoms of AMS (ACUTE MOUNTAIN SICKNESS)
In addition, A light headache, loss of appetite. and disturbed sleep may occur when suffering from AMS. If you experience any of these symptoms do not continue to ascend. Therefore, stay where you are or go down to acclimatize.

Hace – High Altitude Cerebral Edema (swelling of the brain)
Hape – High Altitude Pulmonary Edema (fluids in the lungs)

SYMPTOMS INCLUDE:

Firstly, Persistent severe headache, difficulty breathing, confused thinking, loss of appetite. Therefore, rapid breathing or breathlessness at rest, vomiting, coughing up pink. In addition, brown or white sputum, the sound of liquid in the lungs. Moreover, Blueness of face and lips, severe lethargy (not wanting to do anything). Persistent bubbling cough. or persistently increased heart rate (110 per minute)
