Itinerary of Everest Base Camp Trek By Road

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu 1350m.

Our staff will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Then, Meet the CEO and guide. briefing about the trip.

Day 2Kathmandu to Khari Khola 2022m.

Therefore, to reach Khari Khola, a journey of approximately 305 kilometers that takes around 12-13 hours, one can opt for public transport departing from Kathmandu around 5 am, with an overnight stay at a tea house upon arrival.

Day 3Khari Khola to Paiya 2500m.

Trek Khari Khola to Paiya some climb steps few hours. In addition, beautiful mountains and landscapes along the way.

Day 4Paiya to Chuplung 2800m.

Spectacular view up and down with local villages and stupas. Overnight in tea house.

Day 5Chuplung to Jorsalle 2995m.

Walking through the local village and green scenery with monastery and gompas.

Day 6Jorsalle to Namche Bazaar 3540m.

Trek Jorsalle to Namche Bazaar we will get to Hillary suspension bridge and last part we need to climb uphill for about 2:30 hrs.

Day 7Namche Acclimatization & Hike Everest View Hotel 3880m.

Acclimatization day hiking to Everest views hotel 3880m. Explore rest and chill.

Day 8Namche to Tengboche 3868m.

Easy little up-and-downhill till to lunch places, end of the day 2:30 hrs, climb uphill to Tengboche, we will visit the monastery at around 5:00 pm in Tengboche.

Day 9Tengboche to Dingboche 4200m.

Little easy as starting and walking through the suspension bridge with a beautiful view around we will reach Dingboche.

Day 10Acclimatization Day at Dingboche.

2nd Acclimatization Day hikes a few hundred meters explore and easy rest day.

Day 11Dingboche to Lobuche 4900m.

Begging of the day very easy till thukla lunch place. After lunch climb for about 1:30 hrs. and easy walk end of the day with beautiful views.

Day 12Lobuche to Gorakshep 5180m and Everest Base Camp 5364m

About a 2-3 hrs. walk, we will reach Gorakshep from Lobuche. Therefore, after a stop there for lunch and after lunch, we continue to Everest base camp for about 2-3 hrs. walks with ascent, descent, and rocky trail, finally, reaching base camp 5364m. Lastly, After great experience photos we will slowly return to Gorakshep for the night.

Day 13Gorakshep to Kala Patthar 5550m and Pangboche 3900m.

Therefore, with the day starting early, you hike early morning uphill to Kala Patthar approx 2:30 hrs best views of Mt Everest and high mountain peaks, back to Gorakshep and trek to Pangboche.

Day 14Pangboche to Namche Bazaar 3540m.

Walking and enjoying the views of rivers, forests, and Himalayas, will reach Namche bazaar.

Day 15Namche Bazaar to Chaurikharka 2798m.

Thus, with reaching Namche Bazaar, you trek to Chaurakharka which is a green valley, forest, and river nice and beautiful, we will reach Chaurakharka.

Day 16Chaurikharka to Paiya 2500m.

As you trek downhill, you’ll be greeted by a picturesque green valley, and pass through a charming local village, all while enjoying the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding hills on your way to Paiya.

Day 17Paiya to Khari Khola 2022m.

Downhill with a green lush, forest, the local village while you reach Kharikhola for overnight.

Day 18Khari Khola to Kathmandu 1350m.

Drive from Khari Khola to Kathmandu about 12-13 hrs.

Day 19Departure from Kathmandu and fly back home.

Departure to the international airport or if you have extra days, you can stay longer or do another activity.

I went to the Everest trek via Khari Khola by jeep and the trek started. I skip the flight because sometimes Lukla flights are delayed due to bad weather so. very nice different views of lower Everest and upper high Himalayas. good guide and did a solo trek. really enjoyed my time in the Himalayas and thanks to the happyland treks, and guide Tika.

We just complete the trek from the bottom to the top of Lower Khumbu to Everest base camp. we didn’t take the Lukla flight. We took jeep to khari khola and trek. Green Valley, hills in the lower region of Everest. When we climb more from Namche bazaar higher mountain view. Amazing we love it. We climb also Kala Patthar wow that’s a beautiful view of Everest and surrounding vistas. Thanks to team happyland.
