Weather during Everest Heli Tour:

Weather can change any time around the mountain Himalayas. Therefore, the temperatures in winter tend to fluctuate around 15 degrees Celsius and under normal conditions, it can reach anywhere between 20 to 25 degrees in the summer.  Moreover, mornings and evenings are colder so expect temperatures to drop as far as -15 degrees during those times. In addition, while the base camp is open most of the time, we strongly advise against taking the journey during the rainy seasons. Therefore, the low visibility makes it almost impossible to fly into the region and there is always a chance of heavy snowfall. Therefore, while making the journey in summer and autumn are fairly entertaining, the best trekking season would be Spring as rhododendron colors the entire forests which makes up for a lovely contrast to the white snow.

Clothing:

  • As the base camp remains cold year round, warm clothing is advised.
  • Comfortable down jackets
  • Make sure you have thermal wears on at all times.
  • Gloves, scarves, caps and woolen socks for the cold journey.
  • Warm fluids to keep your body warm.
  • Carry doctors prescribed medicine for Altitude Sickness if you are not comfortable with high altitudes.
