What to Expect

We trek per day between 4 to 8 hours. However, Depending on the walk, we can always tailor the date to you and your needs. Purified water, Shower and Mobile Battery

However, During the trek almost every village you will have access to boiled purified drinking water. Therefore, When trekking you will go through terrain that can be flat. Downhill uphill, and at points with lots of stairs. 

For the shower, cold showers are free but we do not recommend. Therefore, Not recommending cold showers during the trek because it is cold up there. Therefore, so it’s better to have a hot shower which is possible by Gas Geysers.  Hot Bucked and prices start from 200 – 500 rupee per head.

However, For the camera/mobile battery we always recommend you bring some extra batteries if possible. You can have a Mobile/Camera Battery charge for almost every tea house. Moreover, In the places, where you stay at night and it costs around 200 – 500 per battery charge. 

Itinerary of EverestBase Camp Trek Jiri

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrival in Kathmandu transfer to hotel preparation for trekking and overnight in Kathmandu. (1400m)

Day 2 Kathmandu to Salleri

Drive Kathmandu to Salleri (2390m) by jeep. approximately 8-9 hrs.

Day 3Salleri to Nunthala

Trek Salleri to Nunthala (2225m) approximately 5-6 hrs.

Day 4Nunthala to Bupsa

Trek Nunthala to Bupsa (2360m) approximately 8 hrs.

Day 5Bupsa to Chaurikharka

Moreover, Trek Bupsa to Chaurikharka (2650m) approximately 6-7 hrs.

Day 6Chaurikharka to Monjo

Trek Chaurikharka to Monjo (2840m) approximately 4-5 hrs.

Day 7Monjo to Namche Bazaar

Therefore, Trek Monjo to Namche Bazaar (3440m) approximately 5 hrs.

Day 8Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar

Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar: rest, chilling, exploring and enjoying the view.

Day 9Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

Trek Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3868m) approximately 5 hrs.

Day 10Tengboche to Dingboche

Trek Tengboche to Dingboche (4410m) approximately 5-6 hrs.

Day 11Acclimatization day

Acclimatization day in Dingboche.

Day 12Dingboche to Lobuche

Trek Dingboche to Lobuche (4910m) approximately 5 hrs.

Day 13Lobuche to Gorakshep

Trek Lobuche to Gorakshep (5180m) to Everest Base Camp (5364m). And back to Grakshep, overnight in Gorakshep. approximately 7-8 hrs.

Day 14Kalapathar, Pheriche

Early morning hike to Kalapathar. (5550m) to see sunrise view. In addition, mountain range include Mt Everest. Lastly, back to Gorakshep breakfast and trek to Pheriche (4240m) approximately 7 hrs.

Day 15Pheriche to Tengboche

Trek Pheriche to Tengboche (3868m) approximately 4-5 hrs.

Day 16Tengboche to Namche Bazaar

Trek Tengboche to Namche Bazaar (3440m) approximately 5 hrs.

Day 17Namche Bazaar to Lukla

Trek Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2840m) approximately 7-8 hrs.

Day 18Flight back to Kathmandu

Lastly, Morning flight back to Kathmandu (1336m) from Lukla. 50 minute flight.

Day 19Departure to International Airport

To sum up, Departure to international airport or if you have few days extra in Kathmandu you can chill, do shopping, sightseeing, etc.

Accommodation During EverestBase Camp Trek Jiri

Moreover, We stayed at the Tea house. Tea house trek means a small hotel with a nice room. Made along the trekking path that provides room and food. Therefore, Most of these self-made family-owned and home-cooked meals. In addition, are served as well as different types of European and western food. To sum up, It’s a bit different but it’s good.

Do I need training for EverestBase Camp Trek Jiri

Trekking in the Himalayas is hard. Therefore, you will be hiking slowly for 4 to 8 hours a day. Therefore, this trek is great for people with some physical fitness. In addition, Improving your cardio capacity with activities. Such as jogging or exercises can help your body and energy level during the trip. And make a safe and good experience. However, it is not necessary to be a high-level person, simply in good shape.

What is the best season for the EverestBase Camp Trek Jiri?

However, People travel and trek every month of the year. But the best seasons are Spring, from March to May, and Autumn, from October to the beginning of December. Therefore, January is one of the coldest months of the year and May is one of the hottest. In addition, the rainy season happens between June and August. So, you should keep that in mind when planning your trip. 

Mountain Sickness and Prevention in EverestBase Camp Trek Jiri

To clarify, Mountain Altitude Sickness can affect anyone above 3000 meters. Altitude Sickness affects people  of all sex, age, and fitness. Secondly, Therefore, If you are showing signs of mountain altitude sickness. Your safety is our first view and we will help you getting down as fast as possible.

Therefore, We suggest before trekking to be sure you are in good health and have known with your GP. However, It is recommended before going that walking training is done. So, you have the most fun time while trekking. Please feel free to contact us.


However, many people suffer from mild symptoms of AMS (ACUTE MOUNTAIN SICKNESS)
In addition, Alight headache, and loss of eating. And disturbed sleep may occur when getting AMS. If you notice any of these symptoms do not continue to climb. Therefore, stay where you are or go down to get oxygen.

Hace – High Altitude Cerebral Edema (increment in the size of the brain)
Hape – High Altitude Pulmonary Edema (fluids in the lungs)


Firstly, hard rough head pain, difficulty breathing, confused thinking, and loss of eating. Therefore, sudden breathing or hard to breather, vomiting and coughing up pink. In addition, brown or white cough is the sound of liquid in the lungs. Moreover, Blueness of face and lips, not wanting to do anything. Rough cough. Or Frequent increased heart rate (110 per minute)
Prevention:- Therefore, Drink plenty of water (not alcoholic drinks) and eat fruit – especially when crossing high passes.
