Trip Overview: 

Start in Kathmandu: Therefore, meet your guides, manager, CEO, and staff regarding your Everest trip.      Almost all the treks begin from Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. 

Trek to Base Camp: Moreover, passing steep climbs and slippery paths, you will get to see great sherpa villages along the trail. The core part of the Everest Tour and Trek is the walking one. What to Expect during Hiking Mount Everest Nepal?

Mount Everest Trekking in Nepal trek per day between 4 to 8 hours depending on the walk. Likewise, We can always tailor the date to suit you and your needs.  Therefore, Most importantly trekking with Happyland Treks we must try to drink 4-5 liters of water per day because water is known to help when combating mountain altitude sickness.    

Highest Altitude of the Trek during Everest BaseCamp trek-Nepal

Likewise, Mount Everest 8848.86 m. is the highest point on the earth and Mt. Everest has three different names as
Nepali: Sagarmatha.
English: Everest.
Chinese: Chomolungma.

Above all, during the trip, we will sleep at a maximum altitude of 5180m. (Gorakshep)
Therefore, small domestic flight from Lukla-Tenzing Hillary Airport, Khumbu District to Kathmandu and by land Kathmandu to Jiri, Salleri.

Purified water, Shower and Mobile Battery during Everest Base Camp Trek-Nepal

To sum up, During the trek almost every village you will have access to boiled purified drinking water. In addition,  When trekking you will go through terrain that can be flat, downhill uphill, and at points with lots of stairs. 

However, For the shower, cold showers are free but we do not recommend therefore not recommending cold showers during the trek because it is cold up there. Therefore, it’s better to have a hot shower which is possible by Gas Geysers, or Hot Bucked and prices start from 200 – 500 rupee per head.

In addition, The camera/mobile battery we always recommend you bring some extra batteries if possible, you can have a Mobile/Camera Battery charge. Therefore, for almost every tea house in the places, where you stay at night and it costs around 200 – 500 per battery charge.  That is to say, be self dependent. 

Itinerary of Hiking Mount Everest Nepal

Day 1Kathmandu Arrival Day

The moment you land in Kathmandu, our staff will pick you up. Therefore, drive you to your hotel for the day, Here, you will be meeting the team, the CEO, and your guide. Moreover, on this day there will be a final moment of preparation for the trek


Altitude: 2,800m/9184ft (Lukla) & 2,652m/8,698ft (Phakding)
Walking Distance: 8km (3-4 hours)
Accommodation: Tea House.
(Meals Included: B, L, D).

Waking early, you will be catching a flight to Lukla which will take about 35-40 minutes. Therefore, you will have a short break for a coffee and will meet your Porter and start the hike, with a short hiker, you will reach Phakding, thus ending the day.


Altitude: 3,440m/11,283ft.
Walking Distance: 10-12km (5-6 hours)
Accommodation: Tea House.
(Meals Included: B, L, D).

The trek to Namche Bazaar will take you along the great Dudh Koshi river. The same path will be taking you to Hillary Suspension Bridge. Therefore, a push of about 2 hrs 30 minutes will take you to Namche Bazaar, which will be our stop for the day.

Acclimatization Day is essential when trekking such Altitudes. Moreover, not just rest we will be squeezing the most out of this trek, with a hike to Everest View Hotel. Moreover, from there you will experience the most breathtaking panoramic view of Everest. Therefore, enjoying the local culture and lifestyle around Namche Bazaar, this day ends.


Altitude: 3,800/12,467ft.
Walking Distance: 9.2 km (5-6 hours)
Accommodation: Tea House.
(Meals Included: B, L, D).

The day starts pretty easily with a downhill. The path gets a little rough toward the end. In addition with a push after a lunch of about 2 hrs. and 30 minutes uphill will take you to Tyangboche, there you will visit Tyangboche Monastery around 5:00 pm.


Altitude: 4,200/13,779ft.
Walking Distance: 9 km (6 hours)
Accommodation: Tea House.
(Meals Included: B, L, D).

This day starts with a downhill, crossing different bridges as we pass through local villages. Moreover, the path is full of beautiful views. Therefore, you will also be passing a landslide area at the end of the day, With proper guidance, it should be pretty easy, With this, the adventure for the day ends.

Acclimatization is more important than you imagine. Thus for this Hiking Mount Everest Nepal, a minimum of 2 days of Acclimatization is suggested. Therefore, on another day at Dingboche, we prepare our bodies for the higher altitude. We will hike a few paths, and tour around Dingboche experiencing the local life.


Altitude: 4,900m/16,076ft.
Walking Distance: 11-12 km (6-7 hours)
Accommodation: Tea House.

With a rest day, we begin this day with great determination. At the beginning of the day comes a little easier until you reach Thukla. Moreover, with a lunch break, you hike the high hill of the Memorial of the lost climbers, which will take you around 1 hrs. and 30 minutes. Thus, after paying our tribute we will reach Lobuche on an easy trail.


Altitude: 5180m/16,994ft (Gorakshep) & 5364m/17598 (EBC)
Walking Distance: 15km (7-8 hours)
Accommodation: Tea House.
(Meals Included: B, L, D).

With a great view, this day starts. A 2-3 hrs. hike will take you up to Gorakshep. Therefore, having a lunch break there, we will continue the ascent with rocky paths, dunes, moraine, and glaciers, our goal is to base camp. Therefore, with great views and experience with photography capturing the moment there, we come back to Gorakshep for the night.


Altitude: 5,545m/18,192ft (Kalapathar) & 3,985m/13,074ft (Pangboche)
Walking Distance: 17-18km (7-8 hours)
Accommodation: Tea House.
(Meals Included: B, L, D).

Even though we already have visited the Base Camp, the thirst for that stunning view of mighty Everest remains. Therefore, that is why we trek the Kala Pathar-means (Black Rock) Nothing can compare to its highlights of Everest. In addition, the beautiful sunrise view of Mt. Everest and the surroundings, after the views back to Gorakshep breakfast and trek continue to Pangboche.


Altitude: 3,440m/11,284ft
Walking Distance: 13-15km (7-8 hours)
Accommodation: Tea House.
(Meals Included: B, L, D).

The descent has already begun. Thus, you get to experience that great path once again. Moreover, the trail to Namche has a few ups and downs. Therefore, you will walk through the lush forest and experience the flora and fauna of this region for one last time. Thus, reaching Namche Bazaar, we will be spending the night there.


Altitude: 2,800m/9,184ft,
Walking Distance: 16km (7-8 hours)
Accommodation: Tea House.

Walking across the same Dush Koshi river, that once took us to the Base Camp, is now leading us back home. Therefore, crossing those old bridges and valleys, we will get back to Lukla


Altitude: 1350m/4428ft,
(Meals Included: Breakfast.

The last Morning you spend in the Mountains. You will be waking up early to catch a flight to Kathmandu. However, with the scenic view from the flight, and transfer to your hotel, Have a rest and evening, We will love to hear your feedback and trek experience at dinner time.


Altitude: 1,350m/4,428ft.

This beautiful moment that you once dreamt of is coming to an end. Thus, Marking the end of your trek, we will be driving you to the Tribhuvan International Airport. Therefore, ending this journey, the moment we shared will always be close to our hearts. Or you can stay longer if you have extra days. Thank you.
