Do I need training for Everest Trekking

Everest Base Camp Trek is a high-altitude trek exceeding 5000m. Prevention

Acclimatize and rest, listen to your body, Walk slowly, drink enough water, don’t go quickly further into high altitude, do not exercise, and eat more calories. Staying hydrated, avoiding alcohol and smoking, etc.

Accommodation During The Trek

Accommodation in the Himalayas is very basic. The tea house is simply wooden and stone buildings. Share bathroom and toilet. provided cold and hot showers. The extra cost for the hot shower is around 3-5 USD per head.

Food During The Everest Travel

In the mountain, every tea house provides you with food and drinks.

Normal Drinks:
Any Tea or Coffee, Hot Water, Hot Chocolate, Hot Leman, Can juice, Coke, Fanta, Sprite, etc.

Breakfast:
Scramble egg, boiled egg, Omelet, Porridge, Toast with honey butter jam. Chapati, Tibetan bread, Mosley. Pancake plain, Sinnamon, chocolate. Hash brown potato. etc.

Lunch and Dinner:
Noodle, Thukpa, Spaghetti, Pasta, Rice, Curry, Momo, Pakoda, Pasta, Fried Rice, Spaghetti, Sherpa Stew, Potatoes boiled, fried, curry, Spring roll, sandwich and bread, Pizza, etc.
Typical Nepali Food: Dal Bhat = Steam rice, Lentil Soup, Curry, Pickle.

Best Season for Everest Trekking

Everest Base Camp Trek availability for the year. But the best time is March, April, May, and the end of September, October, and November, till the 3rd week of December. and during the high season more crowded as well. and around the Himalayan mountain, the weather can change anytime, so we can’t complain about the weather. Can I leave my Luggage in Kathmandu?

If you have extra luggage and which is you don’t need during the trek,  you can store or leave luggage in the Kathmandu hotel, or in the trekking agency office you travel with.

Can I charge my mobile battery electric device during the trek?

At the tea house, they do have electricity or solar, however, they do charge extra fees for the charging stuff. like 3-5 USD per time.

Toilet facilities in the tea house  trekking

Yes, there is running cold water with a local sit-down toilet and a western-style flush toilet in the tea house trek. The bathroom and toilet are shared, not attached. just a few places have attached toilet bathrooms.

Possible to Shower on the trek

Yes there is a shower possible during the Everest trek, but we do recommend a hot shower not a cold shower, and a trekking tea house generally charges 3 – 5 USD per head. for the hot shower.

If I Have Altitude Symptoms 

Having normal symptoms of altitude sickness such as headache is quite common. and you can continue trekking slowly. However, don’t trek at a higher elevation if you get critical symptoms. and walk back down to the lower elevation. wait several days see if you will feel better and try again. Make sure to drink enough hot water and more liquid food, and fruits.

We all need to have good and warm trekking equipment during the Everest base camp trek. Trekking equipment gear you can buy in your home country or you can buy in Nepal as well. but if you bring from the home country, Europe, or America, that must be good quality compared to here in Nepal. Everest Travel Guide Itinerary Day by Day   

  1. Arrival in Kathmandu and overnight in a hotel or guest house.
  2. Kathmandu to Lukla by domestic flight and trek to Phakding. (2640m)
  3. Phakding to Namche Bazaar. (3440m)
  4. Namche Bazaar rests and hiking to Everest view hotel (3880m) Overnight back in Namche.
  5. Trek Namche to Tengboche. (3868m)
  6. Tengboche to Dingboche. (4410m)
  7. Dingboche Acclimatization Day, walking a few hundred meters.
  8. Dingboche to Lobuche. (4910m)
  9. Lobuche to Gorakshep, and same day Everest Base Camp 5364m. overnight in Gorakshep. (5180m)
  10. Around 4:00 am hiking uphill to Kalapatthar (5555m) from Gorakshep. Back to Gorakshep and trek continue to Somare or Pangboche (3900m)
  11. Trek Pngboche to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
  12. Namche Bazar to Lukla. (2820m)
  13. Lukla to Kathmandu by domestic flight. And overnight in Kathmandu.
  14. Departure from Kathmandu or stay longer to do another activity.
