Our traveler was shocked by the Sherpa
“I will share my small incident while I was on a trek a long time ago. My trekking partner was Sherpa and he amazed me with his ability. We were hiking to Tserko ri from Kyanjin Gompa early in the morning to catch the sunrise view from the top. It was very cold and I was wearing gloves. As we were hiking uphill, I couldn’t feel my hand due to the cold despite wearing gloves. So, I put on two pairs of gloves and was still feeling cold but as I looked towards my guide hand, there were no gloves and he was not even feeling cold. He was hiking with bare hands all the time and I was so shocked. It was extremely cold. We were at a high altitude and also early in the morning. I was amazed.” – Jaxon Reed

We will be staying in the local trekking teahouse alongside the trail. Tea houses are the local hotels or guest house with cozy rooms for travelers to have food and to stay mostly owned and operated by the local family from the mountain village. The accommodations are just normal teahouses bed, outside bathroom, and now a days slowly maintining more and someplaces possible to get room with inside bathroom as well.
