In Nepal Langtang Valley trek is located near Kathmandu, which is about a 122-kilometer transport drive from Kathmandu to Sybrubesi, and starts the walk from Sybrubesi the next morning after breakfast. The Langtang is pretty close to the Tibetan border, like access to Kerung, Tibet China.

Langtang Trekking Itinerary 10 Days including Nepal arrival and departure date

Day 01: Kathmandu (TIA) tribhuvan international arrive and stay your first night in Kathmandu before the trek start.

Day 02: From Kathmandu, bus drive to Sybrubesi and overnight in a trekking tea house.

Day 03: Trekking Sybrubesi to Lama Hotel and vernight trekking tea house.

Day 04: Trekking Lama Hotel to Langtang Village, overnight trekking tea house.

Day 05: Trekking Langtang village to Kyanjin Gompa, overnight in trekking tea house.

Day 06: Early morning climb to Tserko Ri Peak with packed breakfast, and return to Kyanjin gompa for lunch, overnight in trekking tea house. 

Day 07: Trekking Kyanjin Gompa to Ghodatabela or Lama Hotel overnight trekking tea house.

Day 08: Trekking Lama Hotel to Sybrubesi, overnight trekking tea house.

Day 09: From Sybrubesi morning bus drive to Kathmandu 7-8 hrs. overnight hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 10: Departure day from Kathmandu, or you can stay longer, do another activity, and rest in Kathmandu before you fly to another country.

Langtang Trekking Cost 

Langtang trekking cost depends on various factors such as how you trek, durations, budget, full package, just guide or guide and also the porter. Etc. 

You can make a tailor-made trip to the Langtang Valley tour like choosing your date and duration as well. Some places you might like more and want to stay there extra night, you can stay as easily as your tailor-made private trek. And there will be your private group and trekking company staff like guide and porter.  

Traveling with a local trekking company, they will manage and set up everything so you don't have to worry about anything. Just chill and enjoy nature.

Trekking tea house in the Langtang 

Langtang trekking tea house, especially local family-owned lodges they can provide anything from a cup of tea to full combo meals with the bed in the trekking tea house, so no need to do camping for eating and sleeping. The accommodation is very normal, and some of the trekking tea houses do have private rooms and bathrooms as well. 

You can have sower in the mountains like hot bucket or gas gazer by paying a small amount 3-5 USD per head. The shower in the mountain with cold water is not recommended because of the cold water and high altitude. So be safe, and stay warm.  

Trekking Insurance in Langtang Nepal 

Trekking insurance is highly recommended in Nepal for any tour, trek, or adventure. So, including the Langtang, Everest, Annapurna, Manaslu, Upper Mustang, Kanchanjungga, and many more outdoor adventure places.

Best time to do trekking in Langtang  

Langtang valley people do trek at any time of the year, like spring, summer, autumn,  and monsoon. Every season, it is pretty similar, and a bit of different scenery. Like the weather in the mountains, any time can be changes so it is depends on luck, how much you’re lucky to have a good weather also.  

March to May and the end of September to the 2nd week of December is the best weather in the mountains, but the weather we can not make sure to tell you 100% accurate. It changes lots.

January is the coldest month of the year in Nepal, there will be ice and snow on the trekking trail and still good weather. and June, July, and August are more rainy in Nepal, with lots of green and waterfalls.
