Trek Details

Annapurna Circuit Thorong La Pass is one of the most diverse treks in the western Himalayan region full of exquisite backdrops ranging from the view of the prodigious mountains to the pristine rivers and beautiful villages. Crossing the pass of Thorong La is not an easy deal. Reaching 5,416m this is regarded as one of the toughest in conquering the Annapurna Circuit.

The 14-18 days trek introduces the trekkers with some of the greatest mountain scenery in the Eastern Himalayas. With the high mountains like the Annapurna Ranges, Mt. Dhaulagiri(8,167m) and Mt. Macchapurchhre(6,993m), this trek is also home to numerous other mountains in the 6000-800m category. Trekkers will also cover the beautiful Manang and the holy land of Muktinath in this eccentric trek. Other attraction includes beautiful villages, deep canyons, and the jaw-dropping mountain glaciers. Just before we reach Thorang La, we come across Kali Gandaki Gorge- the deepest gorge in the world. Happy Land Treks has tailored this trek so that trekkers can enjoy the full adventure without having to worry about food, accommodation or luggage.
The route up to Manang(3,500m) is relatively easy for an average person. The route is rocky, yet not so difficult to carry on. However, once we reach Manang, acclimatization plays a huge role. The trek gets harder as we reach the High Camp(4,800m). Altitude sickness is prevalent if not dealt with care and small steps are encouraged. Heavy winds and the rocky path makes this journey arduous, however, once we pass this test, this is one thing you can definitely be proud of.

I will always be thankful for the experience I had in Nepal and the
Annapurna with Happyland. Trekking in Nepal gives you a taste of the culture and you’ll make friends for life with fellow trekkers met in the tea houses. It’s been an equally challenging and rewarding

“Amazing views Annapurna Trek ”
I have been trekking around the Annapurna for 18 days, and I can say it has been a rewarding challenge. Looking back to this adventure, there is nothing I would change. Recommended for all mountain lovers looking for a quite long trek, the Annapurna Circuit gives enough time to enjoy a diverse landscape. Our guide was paying attention to every detail to ensure our needs were met, most of the time with no need to ask. He knew trekkers as well as the mountain.
